Danfoss inaugurates new production facilities in Mexico

With its new production facilities for scroll and reciprocating compressors, sensors, and heat exchangers, Danfoss, the global industrial Danish-based group, responds to fast-growing market trends such as energy efficiency in cooling, electrification of heating, and the refrigerant transition. The expansion of the current production site by 40,000 m² is part of the Danfoss Monterrey Campus.

The Monterrey expansion project will deliver an estimated annual production capacity of 100,000 compressor units used in HVAC applications, 1.6 million pressure sensors, and A2L leak detection sensors for flammable refrigerants to support the refrigerant transition and doubling its capacity for microchannel heat exchangers.

A new Oxxo convenience store has been opened on the Danfoss Campus in Monterrey is equipped with Danfoss’ most advanced food retail technologies such as its intelligent performance monitoring and control solutions. It serves not only as a functioning convenience store but will also act as a demonstration site for other customers and partners to experience energy efficiency technologies hands-on.
