Linsinger has met the growing requirements in the field of welding technology with the integration of strip edge milling machines in spiral- and longitudinal seam tube lines.
Precise profile forms with tight tolerances as well as an exact welding gap are guaranteed. In contrast to other procedures, as for example slitting shear, milling ensures unaltered metal structures, free from hairline cracks. Such prepared weld seams permit a clear increase in welding speed, but simultaneously the quota of welding defects decrease. With the integration of a Linsinger strip edge milling machine in a spiral seam tube line considerably cost savings were reached: UER 375m000, per year with a production per year of 25,000 tonnes, herewith the amortisation time is less than one year.
