Alfa Laval has officially begun construction on the Gunnesbo Innovation Centre in Lund, Sweden. This strategic investment underscores Alfa Laval’s commitment to advancing heat transfer technologies that support the global energy transition. The state-of-the-art facility is expected to be completed in 2027 and marks a significant milestone in the company’s long-term dedication to developing solutions for emerging energy applications.
The new centre will enhance Alfa Laval’s research and development capabilities, focusing on energy efficiency and innovative heat transfer technologies. It will also support the development of fuel cells and electrolyzer components—key technologies for hydrogen production, carbon capture, long-duration energy storage, and renewable fuels.
