Thermal Energy delivers HeatSponge units to Arctic mining site

Thermal Energy International Inc., a global provider of energy efficiency and carbon reduction solutions, has received a USD 1.6 million order to supply eight custom-engineered HeatSponge heat recovery units to a remote Arctic mining operation. The units are manufactured by Thermal Energy’s wholly owned subsidiary, Boilerroom Equipment Inc. (BEI).

Replacing the existing units must be completed within a tight timeframe, as the generator will be offline during the changeover, reducing available redundancy. The pre-engineered HeatSponge modules are designed for rapid deployment, allowing on-site plant staff to reassemble the units without specialized contractors or equipment.

Key innovations include modular construction, plug-and-play assembly, a 22% efficiency boost, durable casing, leak-proof design, and custom finned tubes. Revenue from this order is expected within 12 months, with gross margins anticipated to align with the company’s historical project performance.
