Edina to deliver the CHP plant at GLW Feeds

Edina has been awarded the contract to deliver and maintain the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant at GLW Feeds. The contract was awarded by Iona Capital (Iona), who has financed the construction and operation of the GLW Feeds new CHP plant. The CHP plant comprises of a 1.56MWe rated MWM TCG 2020 V16 series genset and waste heat boiler to supply electricity and heat directly to GLW Feeds, thus reducing their carbon footprint and controlling their energy costs.

Edina will design, engineer, and package the CHP engine within an attenuated acoustic enclosure before delivering to the site and integrating within GLW’s existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure. Once operational, the CHP will provide energy cost efficiencies and lessen GLW’s carbon emissions by over 1,485 tonnes per year equivalent to removing 1,000 cars off the road.
