EEMUA releases Edition 2 with updated standards

EEMUA 215, ‘Industrial cooling tower fans and fin fans: Guide for design, maintenance and operation’, provides guidance for good design, maintenance and operation of mechanical draught cooling tower fans and fin fans used in air-cooled heat exchangers.

The publication addresses the lack of accepted standards for rotating equipment such as fin fans and cooling tower fans and gives plant maintenance engineers or project engineers a framework for the maintenance routines and details of what is required.

Edition 2 of EEMUA 215 has been updated to accord with changes of standards and adapted based on experts’ experiences since the launch of the first edition. The new edition documents established good practice for assembly, repair, inspection and maintenance of fin fans and cooling tower fans as well as outlining the modes of mechanical failure.
