SWEP offers CO2-reduced steel option for BPHEs

SWEP, part of Dover and a supplier of brazed plate heat exchangers (BPHEs), has announced the introduction of CO2-reduced steel as an option for customers seeking to minimise the carbon footprint of their heating systems and heat transfer projects.

For products incorporating CO2-reduced steel, SWEP is carefully sourcing material from suppliers that optimise their supply chains and utilise renewable and low carbon energy sources, fewer processing steps in production and a higher degree of recycled steel content.

The CO2-reduced steel option is available for the European market and is initially being offered in BPHE ranges, mainly used within residential and commercial solutions. SWEP’s offering includes ISO-verified CO2 calculations (ISO14067) for the specific product type, which can be used by the customer to calculate the total product footprint of their system.

By embracing CO2-reduced steel, SWEP aims to set industry benchmarks for responsible manufacturing practices.
