APROVIS supply double steam generator for food industry

APROVIS supplied a double steam generator for a food producer in North America, which is operated with the exhaust gas from two CHP engines.
The project also includes a single steam generator for the third engine on site.
Both steam generators are equipped with economizers, which improve the energy balance and significantly increase the amount of steam.
The deaerator, including the metering station for the conditioning chemicals for feed water treatment, was also provided by APROVIS.
The total thermal output is 3.6 MW and, at full load of the three engines, 5.5 t/h of saturated steam at 10 barg is fed into the industrial plant’s steam network.
The on-site commissioning was carried out professionally despite the restrictions imposed by COVID-19. Via modem access to the control system, fine adjustment of the plant is possible directly from the APROVIS headquarters in Germany.
