FlexEnergy secures an order from a leading manufacturer

FlexEnergy Inc. recently announced that it received a significant repeat order from an existing customer for multiple Flex Turbine units. The customer, a leading manufacturer in California, purchased multiple Flex Turbine units capable of generating a combined 4.3 Megawatts (MW) of power. The order consists of one GT333S unit and three GT1300S units.

The customer first selected FlexEnergy in 2016 for a pilot CHP project involving three FlexEnergy GT333S turbines with integrated waste heat recovery modules working with an absorption chiller provide power and cooling for one of the customer’s manufacturing facilities in California. The facility cut its carbon footprint, improved sustainability and saved money by choosing FlexEnergy’s California Air Resources Board (CARB) certified GT333S low emission, low sound, compact and highly reliable synchronous generation technology.

The customer is also expanding its use of FlexEnergy solutions to support its growth with the purchase of three additional 1.3 MW, GT1300S Flex Turbines to provide a Smart Grid power solution for two additional facilities. The Smart Grid will provide energy security for the customer’s facility operations through grid outages, avoiding costly delays in production due to shutdowns and plant restarts.
