HRS awarded EcoVadis sustainability accreditation

HRS Heat Exchangers has been awarded an EcoVadis Bronze medal for sustainability following its first audit under the scheme this summer.
EcoVadis is a trusted, independent provider of business sustainability ratings and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains and works with around 130,000 companies in more than 180 countries. HRS Heat Exchangers has recently been awarded a Bronze medal rating, placing it in the top 35% of companies in terms of sustainability.
The EcoVadis assessment process covers a wide range of factors including environmental impact, carbon footprint, ethics, labour & human rights considerations, and sustainable procurement. As well as scoring company performance in these areas, it also highlights areas for improvement, allowing the process to be used as a basis for continuous process improvement going forward.
HRS Global Key Account Director Matt Hale, who led the process of obtaining EcoVadis status, comments: “More and more of our clients are recognising the EcoVadis standard, and as it covers many of the actions and policies we undertake as a company, undertaking the assessment was a logical step.”
“Receiving a Bronze medal in such a short time frame to pull everything together is a fantastic achievement and gives us a solid foundation to build on as we look to improve our performance in the future. I’d also like to thank all our staff and colleagues around the globe who helped make this happen.”
