Lummus secures a contract from Hyundai

Lummus Technology has secured a significant contract from Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. to supply eight Short Residence Time (SRT®) ethylene cracking heaters for SATORP’s Amiral petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia. Rutger Theunissen, Chief Business Officer at Lummus Technology, emphasized the company’s ability to integrate technology, proprietary equipment, and lifecycle services to optimize customer operations.

The contract underscores Lummus’ commitment to delivering high reliability, long run lengths, and enhanced on-stream factors with its proprietary heaters. These features, combined with Lummus’ best-in-class technologies, are poised to enhance and optimize SATORP’s operations for the long term.

Operated by SATORP, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and TotalEnergies, the Amiral complex has licensed multiple Lummus technologies, including ethylene, refinery off-gas recovery and treating, pygas hydrotreating, and various extraction technologies.
