AGC awarded an AUD30 M construction contract with YPN

AusGroup Limited announced that subsidiary AGC Industries (AGC) has been awarded a AUD30 M construction contract with Yara Pilbara Nitrates (YPN), a joint venture between Yara International ASA (Yara) and Orica Limited (Orica) for the Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) Plant which is located near Karratha, Western Australia.

The construction contract covers the deconstruction and construction work of the dryers, heat exchangers and absorption tower.

AGC is the primary contractor that will deliver the project through an integrated services approach including; mechanical, electrical & instrumentation, welding, boiler making, scaffolding, rigging, cranage, insulation, and fabrication, with further defined works being provided by YPN during the term of the contract.

The Kwinana fabrication facility in Western Australia will provide specialist fabrication and additional support to the project team as required during delivery, to ensure schedule and quality are maintained.
